Watch this movie for Mahesh Babu’s power packed performace and the movie’s much needed plot as well.
As a creator one would want to either entertain, Persuade or Inspire the audience. The director is on a mission to persuade the audience and he seems to have created the required effect largely thanks to that magnanimous charm, flamboyance & fire power of the one and only Mahesh Babu.
As Bharath he is on the money right from scene one and delivers on all the aspects. His mannerisms and dialogue delivery in a few crucial moments goes a long way in helping the director to produce the much needed impact amidst audience. The amazing chemistry between these two continues. The Prince looks, walks, performs and entertains like a real super star. Even on the celluloid one of the bold, handsome Chief ministers we have ever seen.
Prakash Raj scores once again and it’s feels great to watch him essay challenging roles at ease time and again. Kiara Advani does a elegant job and scores well in whatever part she has been offered. Interesting cameo by Sarath Kumar.
Ravi K Chandran does a pretty good by setting up the canvas well for a powerful & gripping narrative. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is average and the BG score has worker out well for this movie.
Moving on to the other side of the coin the end result could have been more powerful had some authenticy been added to the screen play & movie. In a ploy to appease the star’s fans the director seems to have added a few large than life scenes that sees the actor performing some herculean stunts and that seems to have created a not so good effect. It’s more like a speed bump in a otherwise smooth ride on an Highway.
The placing of the songs also could have been better as it serves as a speed breaker or break moment for the audience a few getting restless and going out. Had the director stuck to a single path not only the plot but the characterization of Bharath too could have more stronger.
Watch this movie for Mahesh Babu’s power packed performace and the movie’s much needed plot as well. I am going with 3/5 for this movie.
