Magalir Mattum is an authentic straight from the heart movie thats high on emotion quotient and certainly moves the audience.

Director Bramma is an man on mission. After the critically acclaimed Kuttram Kadithal – The Punishment. he is back with a bang and this time he leaves the audience moved. A Mother is a very crucial relation for any person and at the end of the movie , he ensures the respect you have for your mothers grows leaps and bounds.

Jothika as Prabhavathy is like a cheerleader to this movie. She leads the way and her character has been made in such a effective manner that she is the line that connects the three dots: Gomatha, Rani & Subbu. She has played her part to perfection. Although I would like have seen the same depth in character like the other three protagonists.

A Trifecta of sorts, I absolutely love the way in which the three characters has been chiseled to perfection by Bramma. Characterization & Casting is in fact a big plus to this movie. It clearly portrays the kind of the person they are and that helps other things fall in place from a narration stand point to perfection.

Urvashi as Gomatha , Bhanu priya as Rani & Saranya as Subbu have all played their part to perfection and kudos to Bramma for having leveraged their unique acting capabilities to the fullest. It is the chemistry between these characters that fuels the entire movie. They say Well begun is half well done which is well casted is half well done in this case. Supporting roles played to perfection by Nasser, Livingston & Madhavan.

Ghibran tracks add soul to the movie & Adi Vaadi stands out. In the second the picturesque scenes are an absolute delight. This movie might be one of the many ways to treat your mothers for all the work they have done for us. This is a movie to be treasured & watched with our near & dear ones. My rating is 3.5/5 for this movie. #RangasReview
