We all know about the story about the two stones. There were two stones. One was very lazy it did not withstand any pain from the sculptor’s chisel and ended us as the foot stone at the entrance of a temple. The other withstood all the pain patiently and ended up as the God’s Idol inside the Temple’s Sanctum. This movie is all about the pain withstood by the one and only Sachin Tendulkar to go on to become a Cricketing God in the hearts of his in-numerous fans across the Globe and especially India.

As one among the infinite die-hard Sachin fanatics in India ,I absolutely loved the movie. I found it to be as illustrious as his stupendous career and as elegant as his straight drive. From the moment it was announced Sachin himself will be starring in the movie it was evident that the movie will be taking the less traveled “Documentary narration” style. The target audience is his fans and both Sachin & the director seem to have absolute clarity on this fact.

When you take any Sachin innings it will be characterized by trademark straight drives, upper cuts , impeccable foot work and meticulous hand eye coordination. On a similar note this movie is characterized by Authentic Story Telling, Interesting narration & last but not least quite a few evergreen moments, managing to bring out a plethora on emotions in you. I loved the screen time allotted to his die hard fan Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary.

We all know about the rich tapestry of records that he holds against his name but this movie is something much beyond that. Sachin narrating each of the incidents along with his near & dear ones contributes to the authenticity. On a chronological order we get to see Sachin taking us through each of the incidents in his life. There are lots of key takeaways for us on how he handles stardom, victory & defeat and the hard-work, dedication and what is that which propels to carry on with the same excitement in that 22 yards for 22 long years. What makes it engrossing is the tiny flashes of the dressing room scenes that we get to enjoy.

We get to see a good amount of his personal life as well. Mother India’s growth along with that of Sachin’s is well shown and sets the context well. The cameos of all star players too makes it memorable, especially the ones of legends Brian Lara & Nasser Hussain stand out. When Indian players especially Virat Kohli & MS Dhoni speak the respect they have for this man is evident in their eyes.

What all has he sacrificed to reach this stardom is very well brought out and is bound to move his fans. At the end of the movie your respect for Sachin is augmented to a whole new level. Vintage A.R.Rahman music compliments the movie really well. It is not an easy task to make a movie about the poster boy of the entire nation but James Erskine does a pretty neat jobs and has got in bang on.

Sachin The Film is an absolute dream for all the Sachin fans out there as they get one more chance to cherish their childhood hero. As for the rest this is a chance for you to find out on why Sachin is regarded by Many as “To Sachin, the man we all want to be” _/\_ . As an ardent fan I will definitely go for a repeattttt!!! Rangasrating is 4/5 for this movie. #RangasReview #SachinTheFilm #SachinTendulkar
