Moana is a trifecta of sorts dishing out songs, fantasy & adventure in equal proportions. All in All kudos to Ron Clements & John Musker for having sculpting this fabulous movie to perfection. Moana is a perfect weekend treat thats bound to bring out the kid in you & leave you as happy as a clam.
When you eat a red velvet cake you can tell about the cake as soon as you slice through a small portion of it. It’s enough to reveal about the cooked roux icing that characterizes it. On a similar note this movie opens up with a crisp 5 minute sequence that’s simply a combination of amazing creativity & out of the box innovation. They They say a picture can tell us a 1000 words but in this case the creators have managed to do much more by showing us the granular view on the working of Human body as a machine + plus life some gyans. For a change you find it interesting 🙂 Late comers you will miss this & looks like Walt Disney Studios is trying to make the audience be on the time too for the movie. Just like champions make winning a habit, they have made this short opening moments regular & its additional bonanza for the audience 🙂 🙂 Moana is a trifecta of sorts dishing out songs, fantasy & adventure in equal proportions. This is the first time I am seeing more songs in a animation movie & it has come out so well along with the flow of the movie. This might augur well for future movies as well. They make the storyline clear in the the opening minutes itself & its such a treat to watch Baby Moana enacting the same: Moana, the strong-willed daughter of the chief of a Polynesian tribe, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with a goddess. When a blight strikes her island, Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in hopes to save her people. Any animation movie is like a puppet show & it is the voice that gives life to the characters. In that sense Auli’i Cravalho & Dwayne The Rock Johnson have done a fabulous job by bringing both the leads Moana & Maui to life. From an Animation perspective there are lot of first in this movie: Its Clements & Musker’s first fully computer animated movie. Fabulous job by Eric Goldberg on Maui’s hand drawn tattoos . It standsout in terms of the authenticity it shows. The flora & fauna are also shown in natures own resplendent beauty & its such a visual treat. All in All kudos to Ron Clements & John Musker for having sculpting this fabulous movie to perfection. No wonder this movie has grossed $106 million so far. Kids will love this movie & the squeals of laughter from the kids on the antics of HeiHei is a testimony to this. Moana is a perfect weekend treat thats bound to bring out the kid in you & leave you as happy as a clam. #RangasReview, #Moana
